About Us

The Winston-Salem Dog Training Club (WSDTC) was founded in 1964 by a passionate group of local dog obedience enthusiasts who pooled their resources to establish a dog training facility. Today, we have grown to over 140 members who actively support the activities of the club.
Our members and interns are unpaid volunteers and mentors who generously donate their time to teach classes, perform community service activities, manage trials and events, process class registrations and perform many administrative functions of the club all while training and competing with their dogs. Without this dedicated volunteer workforce, we could not offer the low-cost training classes we provide to the community.
We are home to the NADACLeaps and Bounds Agility Group, First in Flight Flyball Team and Forsyth Kennel Club's handling classes.
We are a 501C(4) nonprofit organization.  The money raised through class fees and donations fund operating costs, facility maintenance and allows us to sponsor other nonprofit organizations. Contributions to our organization are not tax deductible.
